Are these roles paid?

No. Every role currently listed is voluntary and unpaid. That includes the senior roles, the staff roles, and the people who built this site. If a paid role is ever posted, it will say so on itself. Never read full time as a claim about pay: it describes how much time the role takes.

Do I need an account to read a posting?

No. Every posting is public in full, and so is the whole job board, filters included. An account is only needed to apply, and to save a role for later.

How long does registering take, and is there an approval queue?

A moment, and no. Applicant accounts are active immediately. There is no approval wait and no email verification step, because there is no email involved at all.

Why does the site not ask for my email?

Because we send none. Everything we need to tell you appears in your account here. You can link Telegram later if you would rather hear it there too. One thing is worth knowing before you sign up. There is no reset link we can send, so your recovery codes are the way back in.

What happens if I forget my password?

You use one of the ten recovery codes you were given when you registered. Keep them somewhere you will still have them if you lose this device. If you also set up a passkey, resetting your password needs the code and the passkey. That is deliberate: one lost code should not be enough to take an account over.

What happens when I apply?

The application form opens in a new tab, in Google Forms, with your details already filled in. We do not store your answers and we accept no file uploads. When you come back to this tab, we ask whether you submitted it. That is the only way we can tell.

Can I apply for the same role twice?

Not straight away. Once you tell us you applied, that role is closed to you for three months. The posting and the job board both show the date it reopens. Closing the question without answering does not start those three months, because we only count an application you have confirmed. A role that closes and is later reposted is a new posting, with no wait at all.

I have never done this before. Should I still apply?

For anything tagged beginner welcome, yes, and we mean it. Those roles come with somebody showing you how, on real shoots. Where a posting genuinely needs experience it says so under what we need from you.

Do I have to be in Singapore?

It depends on the role, and each posting says. Editing, subtitling, design, and social roles are usually remote. Anything involving a camera, a studio, or a convention is not.

What does "open until filled" mean?

It means the posting has no closing date. We read applications as they arrive and close the posting once we have found somebody. A posting with a date shows it, and one closing within a fortnight is marked on the card.

Can I use the site in Chinese?

Yes. Use the globe in the header. The whole site is bilingual, postings included, and your choice is remembered in this browser. A posting we have not translated yet still appears, marked English only, and is never hidden from you.

A translation reads wrongly. Can I tell you?

Yes, and please do. Every posting has a "Report a translation problem" link at the foot. Tell us which language reads wrongly, which part, and what is wrong. Offer a better wording if you have one. An admin reads every suggestion before anything changes, so nothing you write goes live on its own. Nobody on our side is sure to read both languages well. These reports are how a bad posting gets found.

Search in Chinese does not seem to rank as well. Is it broken?

No, but it does work differently, and it is fairer to say so. English search understands words and ranks results by how well they match. Chinese search matches the characters you type, because the database cannot split Chinese into words. Both find what is there. Only English orders it by relevance.

Parts of the site say they are not built yet. Why?

Because they are not built yet. We would rather say so than hide the control and let you conclude the feature does not exist. Careers@GFTV is released in phases, in public. The build status page lists every phase, what it covers, and whether it is live.
